While MSU didn't get the "star power" that OSU or UofM got, I am really pumped up for this year's class. MD and his staff are going to make these kids winners. All of them seem eager to be a Spartan. And if Coach D wants them to play for MSU, it is difficult to complain about that.
I have a feeling that all of our guys who committed yesterday will be very happy that they did.

IIRC he was the staff's top realistic player on the board as far as DBs go. Should have a nice career at msu

Kid seems eager to come up to MSU. He's one of the guys that I'm most excited to see. If Coach D had him as their #1 DB on their recruiting board, then I'm sold that this kid can make plays.

He reminds me of another semi-under the radar recruit in Johnny Adams. A guy that the staff identified as a high priority DB right away. Had some good regional offers, but never all the press. Both times the coaches were completely sold on them though.

true enough AA...if there is ONE area of the team I don't worry about it's DB's....that and Linebackers...NO complaints at all in the back 7. I feel the D.line was lacking and that's part of the reason Gill is gone. Hopefully Burton will be an upgrade.

I'm really excited to see what he can do. MSU puts a LOT of trust in their corners and leave them on islands for a good portion of the game. If he is/was a "plan A" recruit then he should have a lot to offer. I know coach D is a secondary coach by trade and for him to land a guy that he thought this highly of is really a major recruiting boost imo.

Hicks is a very legit high D-1 player. Great get for MSU.
I stand by this statement: if Jim Tressel was still coach at OSU, Hicks would be a 2-3 year starter for them. This kid is good...only Meyer's national approach made him available. Eli Apple took Hicks' spot.
Jalyn Powell another good OH DB to OSU. Dantonio knows what he's doing.

I personally want to preemptively thank Luke Fickell, Jim Tressel, and Urban the Recruiting Demigod for sending Hicks to MSU. How gracious of our kind overlords. That is all.
