Michigan State legacy and senior captain Max Bullough will sit his last game out. The Spartans’ middle linebacker has been suspended for a violation of team rules, MSU announced early Thursday morning, and will not play in the Rose Bowl Jan. 1 against Stanford.
An MSU spokesman told Spartan Tailgate Bullough did not make the trip to Pasadena.
The announcement came shortly after midnight, as coach Mark Dantonio released a statement regarding the third-generation Spartan.
“Max Bullough has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of team rules,” Dantonio said. “It is extremely disappointing for all parties involved. We will stay focused and close ranks as we prepare for Stanford on January 1 in the Rose Bowl. Max will forever remain a Spartan and valued member in this team’s achievements.”
Bullough recorded 76 tackles, 10 for loss, and two sacks along with 10 quarterback hurries this season.
