The Spartans have been in contact with a top Ohio lineman for awhile. So why did their recent scholarship offer surprise him and will he soon visit MSU?

I don't get too excited when guys say they will try to visit or think a school is "good". That said, hope he visits.

Crap, I read that headline as we "caught" the lineman, as in he committed, and it was a surprise because it was someone off the radar. In hindsight that was pretty stupid, but now I'm all disappointed.

In Coach D I trust.
We put a lot of players in the league last year and believe we will be very top heavy this year in the draft.
At some point players are going to want to play...for a winner.

Recruits either want to go to a school that will make them a high NFL draft pick or that and winning and while we're starting to win games we haven't sent many high draft picks into the NFL but the 2012 draft was the start of this with Worthy being a 2nd round pick and the 2013 draft we could have 3 players go into the first two rounds, If this is the case and we keep winning you're going to see more of the higher rated recruits seriously give us a look and maybe even commit to use because we're going to look like a program that can do both which is very attractive.
