MSU Snags Cass Tech's Finley

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech senior three-star offensive tackle Dennis Finley became the 13th member of Michigan State’s 2013 class earlier this evening. Finley spoke things over with Cass Tech coach Thomas Wilcher, then called MSU coach Mark Dantonio with the good news.

“After talking things over with my head coach tonight, I knew I was ready to commit,” Finley said. “Then I called coach Dantonio and told him I’m ready to commit.”

The 6-foot-7, 280-pound lineman picked MSU over additional offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin and Illinois. MSU offered Finley following his performance at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in June. Since then he has taken two visits and built strong relationships with the members of MSU’s staff.

“I just felt real comfortable with the MSU coaches,” Finley said. “They have been honest with me and I have built a good relationship with all of them. Michigan State is close to home and my family and friends can come watch me.”
