Michigan State picked up a verbal commitment from Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller four-star receiver Monty Madaris on Sunday, who chose the Spartans over the likes of Cincinnati, Florida State and Kentucky.
"OFFICIALLY COMMITTED TO MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY!!! THIS IS SPARRRTAAAAAA," Madaris wrote on his Facebook page.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Madaris also had scholarships from the likes of Boston College, Illinois, Michigan and Nebraska.
Madaris makes it 18 commits for Michigan State in the class of 2012, and the fourth receiver, joining fellow four-star Aaron Burbridge, Kyle Kerrick and MacGarrett Kings.
In his senior season, Madaris caught 56 balls for 1,137 yards and 16 touchdowns.
