I am from Flint and graduated from Flint Southwestern Academy. I had the pleasure to meet and talk to Andre Rison on numerous occasions at Flint Northwestern football games, he is a really nice guy and has a ton of knowledge about football and life itself, so hopefully he can bring that to all of the players not just the receivers. He will be a great addition to the staff.

Still a few extra pounds to shed according to Pat Narduzzi earlier this spring, so this will be a big summer for him conditioning-wise.

I agree Boyd is a stud and reminds me of Marshawn Lynch currently with the Seattle Seahawks. Boyd just dominates and overpowers anyone in his way.

As for the position switch with Shelton, that reminds me a lot of Jermey Langford this past season with Michigan State. Coach Dantonio needed him to play cornerback and Langford earned some playing time, including a pick-six defensive touchdown where his eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. I was taking pictures and once Langford got that ball you could tell from the look in his eye no one was going to stop him from scoring. Langford was jacked like no other on that play. Now Langford is back taking reps at receiver and running back. He's just an athlete putting work in wherever the teams need him.

Back to the question, Shelton will start out on offense playing running back and wide receiver and if he needs to move to defense then they'll move him. Shelton is an unselfish player and might end up playing a multitude of positions during his college career similar to Langford.
