Port Saint Lucie (Fla.) Treasure Coast safety Justin Williams took an official visit to Michigan State this weekend and committed to MSU Saturday, Spartan Tailgate has confirmed.

The 6-foot-1 prospect chose the Spartans over additional finalists in Cincinnati, Marshall and South Carolina. Williams recently set up his official visit and obviously liked what he saw in East Lansing.

Williams checks in as a three-star prospect in the 247Composite rankings. Defensive backs coach Harlon Barnett serves as Williams’ primary recruiting coach.

Having a few Florida kids must help us with Harrell. Kings, Williams, Salmon and even Ceasar could help us out a lot on this one.

......Cinci, Marshall and W.Virginia don't impress me as competition for this kid but 2 things put me at total ease:
1) S.Carolina offered him....their defense is VERY good
2) Coach D' and Barnett know JUST what they're doing with DB's.....NO doubt this was a good get

Yeah it looks like he's an highly touted track guy in Florida and relys more on speed then knowledge of the game judging by the 5 mins of film... Fwtw.... But there is no doubt in his physical attributes. 10.5 100 meters, runs like a deer!

Salmon is a vocal Spartan already. If his play is half as strong as his love for MSU, we are gonna win sooo much.

Plays in Florida's class 8 division, which is the toughest i believe. wow.
