They will give multiple offers but one take one QB per year as a general rule. That QB will redshirt and then compete.

Alton Meeks looks like a Tebow clone. Kid is pretty big. He is the state champion wrestler in his weight class.
Wonder why Roback hasn't received a scholly yet??? I thought I had read he was the staffs #1 target?

my thoghts also. Roback was at Breslin for UM game and that was not an "official" Junior day... but one day they brought in just a few high priority guys. Maybe report above has some errors...not that Roback offered, but maybe the above not offered/??

A mobile QB adds a new dimension to a pro-style offense (see: Russel Wilson). But I highly doubt that the coaches are willing to sacrifice much in terms of accuracy and football IQ to get more mobility.

I like a QB that can sramble, but does our offense really work the best it can under a true dual-threat QB? Generally, I prefer a QB that will stay tough in the pocket to find the open receiver 30 yards + down the field.

I think Wilson is a good example. Pro-style offense with a guy who can buy time or pick up a first down with his legs if needed. That's nice to have.

There's no way this is a change in coaching philosophy, passing is always going to be number 1, but that doesn't mean you can't have additional weapons. A kid who an QB our passing attack but still pick up a first down with his legs - and make the defense respect running ability - would fit just fine in our system.
What you won't see is our staff going after run-first QBs like Dennard or Vick, unless they're hoping to use them at multiple positions.
