Spartans Top TCU With Late FG

Dan Conroy

TEMPE, Ariz. -- A late field goal by Dan Conroy gave Michigan State a 17-16 comeback victory over TCU Saturday in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Conroy's field goal with just 1:01 left in the 4th quarter gave Michigan State the victory in a game they trailed 13-0 at the half.

The Michigan State offense was paced by a dynamic performance from junior Le'Veon Bell. Bell scored MSU's second touchdown and topped 100 yards for the eighth time this year. Bell also helped setup MSU's first touchdown with a 29-yard pass to TyQuan Hammock.

MSU now finishes 2012 with a 7-6 record and back-to-back bowl game victories coming off last season's Outback Bowl win over Georgia.

Special thanks to Paul Morley.
