Michigan State continues to load up at a position which has been of utmost importance for the Spartans under coach Mark Dantonio.
MSU landed another one Sunday in Waukesha (Wis.) West tight end Dylan Chmura, who called Dantonio to deliver the good news.
Chmura was at Wisconsin's camp earlier today and said he didn't get the same welcoming vibe as he did when visiting MSU.
"Dantonio was really, really excited," Chmura said "So were coach (Brad) Salem, and coach (Dan) Roushar and they welcomed me to the Spartan family.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Chmura describes himself as a “diverse package” because of his versatility and holds additional offers from Western Michigan and Central Michigan. He is also receiving interest from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Nebraska, Miami (Fla.) and Missouri. The lag in offers is likely because he missed his entire junior season with a torn ACL. Chmura had 19 receptions for 250 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore.
