2 Sport Star Drake Harris to announce Wednesday

I hope he's looked at the schools' most recent history for dual sport athletes. UM, Kelvin Grady, transferred to NIU. MSU, Matt Trannon, at the time of his graduation was the single season receptions leader at MSU, and was a key defensive stopper and rebounder on our basketball teams.

What I was thinking. If he comes in and plays both to his potential, he takes us to a F4 or 2 or 3 and wins a B10 championship in fball or 2 or 3. GOD MODE.

This kid has a legitimate chance to not only be top 10 in Michigan in both sports, but to be the top player in both sports in the state in 2014, not likely, but possible. He's really that good of an athlete. I've seen more football highlights and he is a total miss match out there, just a freak athlete.

Might be difficult to play Football and B Ball at high level in Big 10. Too much overlapping in the seasons. If it becomes a recruiting battle between Izzo and Dantonio I am betting Izzo wins that battle. Who was the last high level Div 1 football/Bball player? Tony Gonzalez?

Lorenzo Guess was a 2 sport success story at MSU as well.

Drake Harris would be a HUGE game changing Commit. He is one of the best WR in the 2014 class and he is also a 4-star top 100 player in basketball. Would be just Awesomely Amazingly COOL if he comes to MSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, he'd be the first commit for 2014. He's a top 100 player according to 247. Will be a big time commit if he chooses the green and white.

We also just offered his teammate OT Tommy Doles. I'd assume getting Harris would help us with him as well.

What's funny is that most of UofM's great B1G basketball history is before MSU even joined the Big Ten.

MSU is the only school with an athlete who played in both a Rose Bowl and Final Four: Pat Wilson '57.
It would be great to have the second player as well.
