I like 3. If they put the sheild from the back of 2 on 3the it would be satisfactory.

They should have a fan design contest for these or something.

That's awesome then. I really like #2 now knowing that.

I like the idea of #2, but the font over the image is not good, in my opinion.

These seem off.
With the fonts it looks like the front of 1 should be with the back of 3 and front 3 should be with back 1. And 2 should just be trashed.

#1 is too generic, #2 has no back, #3 is the best choice, to me at least

I have thought about that too. I wonder if the athletic department wants to save that for the athletes or if Nike worries that only hardcore fans will understand the reference.

It'd be sweet if the student section just wore the Pro Combat shirt with the Spartan helmets on it from last year.

Would be a good way for Nike to clear out some inventory as well.

#3 for sure. #2 is the cheesiest of the three. I'm a student, but knowing the mindset of some of my fellow students, #2 will win because it's "cool, bro." Pretty much anything but #2 please.
