Ok really didn't think the whole story needed be told and that obviously it wasn't an idiotic impulse buy.... background is I am looking for a new car, have been considering a Charger and saw this, and thought, hmmm. And then after more info and pics decided immediately it was not on the possibility list, brah.

The SRT-4 was a fast car that definitely raised the bar for sport compact performance, but "fastest production car in the world for the price point" is a pretty dumb accolade. The Tata Nano is also the "fastest production car in the world for the price point". Find me another $2100 car that is faster...

Damn right it did.
In the early 90's, many a stoplight race was lost to the unsuspecting Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD.
With 200hp, a 5 speed and sub 2500lb weight, it was a pretty fast car for the money.Keep in mind, GM was dropping 2.8L and 3.1L V6's into FWD compact cars like the Cavalier and Beretta GT during this era, and they were only putting out around 140hp. A Laser would leave a car like that in it's dust once the turbo kicked in.

I have put over 2000 miles on it so far, I am very impressed. It is a fun car to drive, it has pretty good pep for a small car, it handles very, very well. I am getting around 28 city, and 37 highway, but I tend to drive a little hard, (this car likes to be driven that way). There is some turbo lag, but it is easy to get used to. I have been getting tons of looks from people while driving, and many people asking me about it in parking lots. I would say as long as the quality is decent, Dodge will have a hit with this car. I have not seen anything at its price point that can compete with it at this time. I have a red Rallye, with the 8.4 inch nav radio, highly recommend the radio upgrade.
