$80 for Indiana??????????????? Cmon Hollis, you're better than that. I know you want to keep revenues up, but that's awful. I understand making premium games like ND and scUM $80, but you can't manufacture a premium game. Those tickets will be going to $5 outside the stadium on gameday.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling this football season (ticket/revenue-wise) is going to be a disaster for the athletic department. We are people who typically buy season tickets knowing we won't get the value we are paying due to our long drive to campus, but this year, we are really considering passing - $700 for the UM game is quite steep.
It's obvious they made the homecoming game $80 b/c that (along with UM) is the game they know they will sell single game tickets for....maybe not a lot, but more than the other games, so why not grab the extra $ where you can?
I would have offered a ticket to a road game with each season package - no idea of how they would arrange this, but get creative.

I'm one of the ones passing on season tickets this year. Still plan to go to as many games as possible (maybe even all of them), but I can't justify the $716 cost for 2 tickets in West Upper Deck for a schedule like that when I can probably buy them on the street or from friends that have extras (seems like my tailgate crew always had at least 2 spares last year) for less than $20/game excluding the UofM game. And with the money I save, I can go baller status on seats for the UofM game.
Plus, depending on how well the team does, those "hard to get" UofM tickets may not be so hard to get come November 2. Just remember the Nebraska game last year.

You'll probably get hammered on here for saying the schedule is the reason, but I agree with you 100%. We are not driving 500 miles to see them either 1) beat the hell out of these crap teams, or 2) poop their pants and lose to these crap teams. We are coming up for one game this year, the UM game. Call me a poor fan or whatever, but none of the other games are worth the time/expense. My feeling is that I'll be able to pick up a pair for $200-300 for that game. That means my donation to the University would be $400-500 if we go with the season ticket package - just don't know if I can convince the other half that that is the right thing to do.
