  • i simply can't understand why they insist on having us play Minny the last weekend of the year. it should be Wisky doing that.

    Oregon is a home game.

    So home games vs. Oregon, Michigan, IU, PSU and Minnesota? 3 of those are pretty darn good games.

    IU.... Forks DOWN.

    2015 looks good. Nice home schedule with PSU. Heavy loaded up front with Michigan, two away games, but then a bit of a breather with Indiana, then a bye between Nebraska and PSU. Manageable, although I'd worry about an empty tank in Columbus, depending where Iowa is at.

    2016 looks great. Good balance and good opponents.

    Iowa is the biggest wildcard in these schedules to me. If they get back to their early 2000s form, the schedules go from tough to borderline insane. If they stay at their current 6-6/7-5 pace, the schedule has 4 tough games (UM, PSU, tOSU, Nebraska) and 4 "should wins" (IU, Minny, Northwestern, Iowa).

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • What is the non-con games for 15/16?

    Also, what is the schedule again for 13/14? I know it's posted already, but I'm lazy.

    WVU has pulled out of the series with MSU because they moved to the Big XII (9 conf. games). Oregon is their replacement.

    Yeah I was thinking that was taken off but not sure. Hope we get another mid level BCS team as a replacement.

    We seen this coming...Brandon wanted to get us the first game of the year because that's when they're the freshest...and he wanted us to get Nebraska at the end of a tough stretch of games before we hit our bye week. Also, Brandon sees MSU vs Wisconsin as THE premiere series in the conference, so I can see why he wanted to break up the rivalry. I'm betting we don't play in 2017/18 either. We should still be the favorites to meet up in the B1G CCG every year, though.

    Brutal scheduling...but with the conference getting better, it's expected.

    Fwiw last yr was more brutal. It was basically 5 st8 wks against top rivals. We were completely spent by that nebraska gm. At least these schedules are insane back to back to backers.

    That 15 schedule with back to back at Iowa and tO$U will be a bitch, not to mention at UNL two weeks later. Whatever, bring it on.

    Yea, really short-circuits a budding rivalry.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • Home or away, win or lose. they were actually pretty fun games...going way back.

    Oh well...ai guess we'll have to find a reason to make fun of Nebraska...

    We'll get them back in '17 and '18 (along with games against PSU and IU). In '19 and '20, it will be Purdue and Illinois (along with IU). That will complete the 10 year cycle. 10 games against IU and 4 against everyone else.

    Of course, if the conference membership changes, all of that is out the window.

    Wow, I sure hope there are some good NC home games in 2015, otherwise, that is one home schedule I am not too excited by.

    You kidding? We have Indiana that year. The biggest rivalry of them all is at home. It will probably be an 8 o'clock kick with college game day being there, and is most likely going to shatter any attendance record ever at Spartan Stadium. That game alone makes the home schedule worth it.

    2012-13 = Maxwell era (O'Connor and Terry redshirt in '12 and '13 respectively)
    2014-15 = Cook, O'Connor, Terry, and redshirted 2014 QB are all options, 2015 QB will redshirt
    2016 = O'Connor, Terry, 2014 QB, 2015 QB

  • I'm still not a fan of the Bama series at all. I hope we find a reason to cancel it.

    2016 includes:
    @Alabama
    ND
    @Michigan
    OSU
    Nebraska
    @PSU

    We could go 8-4 or worse, assuming we are still as strong a program then as we are now, for no good reason other than we wanted to show how "tough" we are by taking on the best program in the country in week one.

    if it goes as planned

    12-13: Maxwell
    14-15: Cook (RS Jr when he takes over)
    16-17: O'Connor (RS Jr when he takes over)
    18-19: Terry (RS Jr when he takes over)

    assuming no attrition and seniority wins on the field as well

    edit: i do not think i did that right.
