This is so crap. yeah recruiting services need to sell subscriptions and bump a couple players for a couple of teams but you don't have the number one rated class on accidental bumps
UM's class is really good. Get over it. Now, can they develop them??

No, because I think we recruited him primarily as a return specialist, not necessarily as a WR. Just because Mike Farrell at Rivals isn't a fan, doesn't mean a thing. A lot of the national recruiting evaluators that used to be at Rivals are no longer there.
Farrell kinda dissed him today:
"Harris did not have Penn State or Rutgers offers, Temple offered early but backed off, not sure about Maryland. But MSU likes him, has seen him likely more than we have so if they like then that's all that matters. But I've seen him at a camp and have seen film and I think he's a bit of a reach."

SB: If Dantonio likes him, then I do too!!!
DE: You're stupid. I want 4 and 5 star guys.
SB: Look at Le'Veon Bell. He was a 2 star, and now he's a stud!!
DE: That's one example, dipshit. It's obvious that 4 and 5 star players are more likely to succeed.
SB: Games are won on the field, not during recruiting!!
DE: You're an idiot. If we keep recruiting like this, we won't win on the field
SpartanRocky chimes in with a four paragraph post discussing how stars do matter (and has the stats to back it up) but also discusses how we've been doing fine with more and more upper level 3 star guys and a few 4-5 star guys and how our overall "star average" has increased under Dantonio.
(Ok, I think that should sum up this thread, but carry on)

I'm OK with reaches. Cousins (NFL) was a reach, Foreman (4 year starter) was a reach, KMart (NFL) was a reach, Blair White (NFL) was a reach that Coach D had to be talked into making,, TRob (NFL) was a reach, LVBell was a reach, Palazeti (probable 3 year starter) was a reach.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
