The O-Line and D-Line recruiting issue isn't going away
I've read several comments from people lately that reiterate what I've been saying

Should MD go the JC route to get some lineman? Seems like that is where it's heading. By the way t-pain, you keep this up and you will lose your 4 star posting status. The fanboy haters are already starting to call for your banning.

I'm OK with reaches. Cousins (NFL) was a reach, Foreman (4 year starter) was a reach, KMart (NFL) was a reach, Blair White (NFL) was a reach that Coach D had to be talked into making,, TRob (NFL) was a reach, LVBell was a reach, Palazeti (probable 3 year starter) was a reach.

No, because I think we recruited him primarily as a return specialist, not necessarily as a WR. Just because Mike Farrell at Rivals isn't a fan, doesn't mean a thing. A lot of the national recruiting evaluators that used to be at Rivals are no longer there.
Farrell kinda dissed him today:
"Harris did not have Penn State or Rutgers offers, Temple offered early but backed off, not sure about Maryland. But MSU likes him, has seen him likely more than we have so if they like then that's all that matters. But I've seen him at a camp and have seen film and I think he's a bit of a reach."

Sounds like the SpartanMag mods jumped the gun a little bit on putting all those offers up, but a few issues arise from this:
1) How often does Farrell check offers with kids that Penn State doesn't get and then go on to trash the recruit? Did he go behind the scenes to make sure Dee Cox had all of his offers? He went out of his way to post on that on the Rivals thread about Harris. Seems like the mods over on the Penn State Rivals site are doing some major damage control over this after it was published that the Penn State coaches loved Harris when he camped there... and now they've lost him to MSU. Seems like some spinning going on.
2) How did Farrell know that information about Penn State, Rutgers and Temple before almost everyone else? If he's getting that info from a Penn State or Rutgers coach, that's an NCAA violation. He sure as hell didn't get it from Harris or his coach, who he essentially called a liar.
3) Harris gets the 2star from Rivals and I'm OK with that because I know he will get bumped by the final update, but when York and Drake Johnson commit to Michigan with offers from EMU (Johnson) and Cincy and Syracuse (York), they immediately end up as 5.6s. Really all the concrete evidence you need for a bias right there.

Nope. Spartan Mag reported that he did, but then both Jay himself and the guys at the PSU Rivals site denied that Penn State ever offered. The PSU offer was put on his Rivals profile for half a day, then later removed.
