247Sports rates Jay Harris a 3-star, Rivals lists him as 2-star

    Ban this troll.

    I gone panic

  • Watching Jay Harris tape, I don't see much if any difference, and see more speed than Drake Harris. Drake may be more all around and have a height difference, but Jay Harris is going to make Rivals look like fools in 2-3 years.

His high school coach also said he had an offer from psu.

I scrapped my rivals premium a few months ago but be mindful that. 247 was started by former rivals guys who were outed for inflating rankings for sites with high subscriber numbers.

That's definitely not the case at 247Sports. I assume you're referring to the claim about Bama's ratings from the guy who covered Auburn. A few things come to mind: I think Bama's on the field performance has been pretty decent. Saban has done a pretty good job of evaluating talent. I'm pretty sure that guy was fired from Rivals and that his firing happened long after 247Sports was started. Since his firing, he has dogged the current staff of Rivals as well. Seems like that says more about him than it says about Rivals or 247Sports based on the guys that I know at both sites.

    Signed,

Benny McGowan, Brandon Clemons, Donavon Clark, Will Gholston, and Skyler Burkland. blank

Talking more about the 12 and 13 classes. Clemons 11, Clark 11, Burkland 10 and Gholston 10. Our recruiting was pretty good in 09, 10, and 11 in the trenches then has dropped off in 12 and 13.

Again, in 2012, our first two commits were offensive linemen. They had offers well before camp season so the staff thinks very highly of them. If we had two OL commits now, I doubt people would be talking about our line recruiting dropping off.

Drake is quite a bit faster actually. Just doesn't seem that way on tape.

  • I think it's pretty safe to say that the staff has an eye for talent at WR - even moreso than other positions. With an offer this early, he's gotta be good. Surprised we took two WRs, but not doubting the talent of this guy

So in '10 and '11 we had one four-star (or better) commit on each line. McGowan was a four-star OL (and early commit) in the 2012 class, and Jamal Lyles, although originally recruited as a LB, was rated as a four-star DE by the services and may end up playing that position at MSU. I fail to see the drop-off you're talking about.

For 2013, there are multiple four-stars still on the board for both lines. Clemons and Clark were both late commits in '11. There is no reason to panic.

This is so crap. yeah recruiting services need to sell subscriptions and bump a couple players for a couple of teams but you don't have the number one rated class on accidental bumps

UM's class is really good. Get over it. Now, can they develop them??

U lost boy? Get het f off our board. Tia
