Center Brian Bobek claims that Urban Meyer doesn't like the fact he's only 275 lbs.
“After about 8 weeks of evaluating prospective transfer options, I can now announce that I requested and received my release from my athletic scholarship at The Ohio State University. I am in the process of visiting and considering offers from a couple of schools, one from the Big 12 and the other from within the Big Ten. I expect to make that decision within the next couple of weeks."
Bobek's brother is a FB at MSU and his father and mother both lettered at Iowa. So I'd venture a guess it's one of those two schools, ***if*** the offers are out there.

Sounds like Bobek was schooled pretty good by some incoming freshmen.
Maybe he's not worth pursuing, and if Ferentz didn't offer him in the first place, I trust his judgment.
Not sure if Bobek had an offer from MSU.
Anyone know?

MSU offered him out of high school, but with Klatt, Jackson, and Allen on the depth chart I'm not sure if there would be another scholarship available for a 2011 center. I can see MSU accepting a transfer, but only if he projects well to guard. Or defensive line.

New rules help on the years of eleigibility left and may even help on the scholarship end.
Kid was a standout athlete with a high GPA. Why would MSU not be interested in a player where they already have a relationship with the family and his brother was a walk-on for Dantonio's team?
His mom is a CPA. Been with PriceWaterhouse for 25+ years and is a partner.
Can't sell mom on MSU's accounting program being be that much better than Iowa's. Can't slam her alma mater.Harry Callahan ●

4-star OSU transfer may consider MSU or Iowa
