Leyland is the good company man who works with what Dombrowski signs including Inge last season with his $5.5M salary. Raburn is being given multiple shots to see if he can recapture the magic he had at the plate after last year's All Start break. If he can't we will see Dombrowski making some moves at the All Star break when its clear some teams are switching to the rebuilding mode. The only way that doesn't happen is if Worth can hit .260 or above and make MLB plays at 2nd.

The other shoe I think may drop is replacing the hitting coach arounf thr All Star break. This season Avila, Boesch, Cabrera, Peralta and Young are all hitting at least 30 points below last year's numbers. Tiger pitching, especially Verlander and Smyly have pitched some gems only to get poor run support. Last year the Tiger's pitching was looking a mess when they fired Rick Knapp in early July. After that move the team caught fire and the team ERA dropped more than .75.

I don't think a stat like Miggy going 0'fer Seattle (0-13) goes unnoticed and no matter how well Leyland likes McClendon, Dombrowski will make the move an tell Leyland who is on a 1 year contract he has a new hitting coach.
