Not a big sample size, but Ordonez is 1-4 while Dirks is 2-3. It probably has more to do with Masterson's R/L spilts: .181 BAA/.285 BAA

Another head scratcher. Big time series and smokey sits Mags and Betemit, and bats Dirks third. Maybe Boesch will get on and use his speed to assist Dirks' at bats....... I will ASSUME Mags or Betemit are dinged up....Then again, they probably need their rest.

Just a few years ago the Tigers were scouring the seats at Comerica trying to find someone that could stand in a lefty batters box. Now, we're starting 6 of them.

Pretty impressive

Seems like we have always had a few switch hitters (Guillen, Santiago, Young, and now Martinez) that did ok lefty......sprinkle in Damon, Thomas, Gomez,Larish, Joyce,Casey, Granderson, and it seems we had 'ok' abilities on the left side of the batters box. But I do agree its nice to see natural lefties in the lineup.

In a couple of Mudhens' notes Fu-Te Ni is starting for Toledo tonite, and he's been pretty solid down there, especially as a starter. Ni has 68 K's in 74 2/3. Adam Wilk is throwing the ball well, also. 3.14 ERA with a 11/57 BB/K ratio. Hopefully these guys can both help down the stretch...rosters expand in three weeks.
