A little news out of Iowa

  • Iowa fans are the worst. At least scum and O$U fans have a half century of success to defend their arrogance.

Crazy talk. Iowa had Kinnick 70 years ago.

So you love Denard now too? Go Big Will. If he played for you butt-buddy Kirk, you would love him. I can't wait for Ferentz to get fired and watch you cry a bucket of tears.

To put Kirk ferentz on the same level as the coaches at the academies is on the border of hilarious and insulting. His track record suggests he'd be more comfortably in the SEC than West Point, Annapolis or Colorado Springs.

L$U? Jebus kid....good luck. He'd be the 4th string qB at best: I can only assume he'll try to switch positions.

yeah, i assumed the same thing, except what position would he switch to that he would have a prayer of cracking the 2 deep?

    But he is dreamy.

Their running back depth is essentially Greg Garmon. I do not understand how a program can blow through just about every running back on the roster from 2008 - present.

They've actually just been stealing their kidneys while they're sleeping.

What's not to love? He's the most morally bankrupt, rat-faced coach in America. And if he didn't destroy his players' kidneys and recruit drug dealers, alcoholics, and rapists, he'd be one of the most successful too.

    FIFY.

This is a board that continually trashes Denard Robinson and exalts that helmet-twister Will Gholston, so excuse me if I attach little value to your character judgments.

People trash him for his passing ability. I think most here would agree that he is a pretty good kid who just plays for the wrong team.

What does it say about you that you characterize Gholston like that over one incident?

Regarding the Iowa incident it sounds like really really minor stuff. I don't think he should lose any playing time over it. Just be forced to do some extra workouts or something. No big deal IMO.

A parent is only as good as their shittiest kid. Dantonio straightened our program out by booting the rotten apples. Why does Iowa keep turning them out if Ferentz is such a great guy? The bottom line is that he is incompetent as a leader for these kids. If you look at all the arrests, DUIs, and general fuckuppery throughout his tenure, it's clear that he doesn't have any control of them off the field.

Says the fan of a team that had to create a character development position because they had 26 arrests in 5 years.

How is DJK doing in the drug house business? Has he expanded to other states?

Tied for second with Arkansas for most players with criminal records. Hats off.

Speaking of grammar, I need to write up a lesson for my students tomorrow. I want to discuss cliches and incorporate real world events at the same time (Keep it relevant!) How are these?

Penn State officials exemplify that "pride comes before the fall."

Joe Paterno is a "tragic hero."

Penn State football has to "climb another mountain."

Then, for specificity's sake, they remove the cliche and insert more original language.

Also mad about MSU overtaking their defense as the most feared defense in the big ten.

MSU is becoming a better version of Iowa.
