Ugh. I vividly remember it being around $83 or so back in '09 and telling myself, "Self, it it drops below $80, pick up a few shares." It never did, and I didn't.

I agree, but who knows with it. Even if it drops to 500 or even 400 it will shoot up again after the Apple TV set starts picking up.

It's up 65% since I bought in last August. Since I'm still short on the position I've just been holding but now am debating when I should decide to take some profits despite the tax hit.

Every time it passes another milestone high I kick myself for not finding a way to buy at $13 when Jobs came back. I worked for an Apple Education Reseller at the time and had a good idea Jobs would turn that sinking ship around. Had no idea it would do this though. Damn.

I haven't bought a single share of apple. I am 100% options at this point.
I joined the game far too late to make the big money, but have been able to chip away some good profits working the short and long calls.
On Friday, I bought the Jan 13 700 strike call for $32.00. Sold it today for $38. $600 in less than 2 trading days is not bad at all. I have little fear on waiting for a Jan 13 call of aapl to come back if it falls in the short term.
Trading the short term calls near expiration, that is tough on the heart. I have done well and gotten burned...the whole while feeling like my chest will explode.
