"I probably don't think as much of them as I do the normal ones we wear, but for a game or two I don't think it's that big of a deal in the Big 12 tournament."

Is anyone in this thread in advertising or marketing? I'm wondering if someone can provide some insight into Addidas' strategy with these. Obviously they figure they can't take on Nike straight up, so the strategy is to differentiate themselves and get people talking. On that account they're succeeding. However, does this actually translate to increased sales?? Even the Walmartiest Walmart Wolverines aren't going to buy this crap....are they?
