I don't think comparing Nebraska to PSU is totally fair. The lack of Nebraska fan support is more related to sucking and not having any history of success, but they're at least trying to improve. They have a new arena and practice facilities if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, IMO it's a freaking great hire for them.
I live in Fort Collins and Miles has been much more successful than almost anyone thought he would be. Dale Layer, the previous coach, more or less ran the CSU hoops program into the ground - totally irrelevant program, with a gaping lack of talent. Miles came in and cleaned things up a bit, and improved their standing every year.
After making some big strides last year (a winning record was a big, big deal) the Rams were expected to step back once again this year after losing a ton of senior leadership and scoring. But they went out and made it to the NCAA regardless - he got more out of less than anyone else in the MWC, beating SDSU, UNLV, and UNM (all tourney teams) with guys that wouldn't be in the playing group of any team in the B1G (maybe UNL). Just flat-out an amazing coaching job with them this year, and his MO should be perfect for Nebraska's program.
