  • VargMan said...

...you can't be that fucking stupid, can you? The guy and his party won resounding victories in the election promising to do exactly what he's doing. He owns the mandate. He is a champion of democracy if anything.

Yup, and the Germans elected Hitler... The republican party has beome the modern Fascists!!!!

  • The City of Auburn has now set up a Live Camera at the Toomers for fans across the nation to watch. A small gathering is forming and I guess people will get to watch the moment the oaks are removed etc.

Didn't some CMU players kill someone? I wouldn't play around with "MAC-level beatings."

  • I was leaving Detroit and heading up towards Ludington on some business, had my Sirus on the Finebaum show, was mesmerized by how messed up those folks are down there. I couldn't turn the station. We're talking about seriously ill people. I think that Harvey guy is insane. The people who called in before and after him were just as touched. I could hear Finebaum trying not to laugh, but it was really messed up. Those people are beyond crazy. Talk about Churchin, these nuts pray harder on Saturday then they ever do on sunday and it means more to em. Wow, then, at the end, this guy never aplogized to the Auburn people and he signs off "Roll damn tide".

Stuart Mandel has been tweeting about the show all day. I'll probably listen to it later...I hear it was amazing.

My parents had a comedy album that featured Andy Griffith doing a bit on how football was a religion in the South -- the only line I remember was from after the coin toss -- "We will receive, we will receive."

And I think the guy is straight-up mentally ill, undergoing treatment before the incident and presumably continuing to the current day.

    QUOTE:

I've lived most of my adult life in Texas. There's nothing like this in Texas. Texas-Texas A&M ... people just don't understand. I just got caught up in it, Paul. All my life I've been an Alabama fan. i have children 30 years old named Bear Bryant and Crimson Tide. Crimson likes her name, and Bear likes his name. My baby girl, I wanted to name her Ally Bama. That is true. Call her Ally, or call her Bama. My new wife said you dont ruined the other two, you're not ruining this one. i have 40 different Alabama hats. Every time I go out I have an Alabama T-shirt. If I was listening to me on the radio, I'd say, yeah he's a nut. I went through the bad years. I saw Tommy Tuberville sticking his fingers and thumbs up in the air. I don't have season tickets. I never went to Alabama. I went to a small junior college. But I am an Alabama fan. They can put me in prison. I am an Alabama fan. I'll apologize for what I've done to the university. I saw Nick Saban sent money. It's not their fault, and I apologize.

  • Interesting story on this Harvey Updyke...I consider myself a die-hard Michigan State fan but never in my life would I come close to considering naming my first born Mark Dantonio or Duffy Daugherty. His daughter's name kills me...haha. This guy is nuts!

The dude, I think, really has gone off the deep end, and I agree with the writer when he presented like he was interviewing 2 people. Good, interesting bit of writing.

I'm assuming that they are. There's no way they'd have this guy for four felonies without proof that the trees are indeed poisoned.
