    Honorable Mention:

    Ager

I would replace Ager with Brown (by the slimmest of margins), otherwise I think you nailed it.

You keep saying Big Al when you mean Andre Hutson.

Also, Drake Harris is in high school. Pick Charlie Bell.

  • These guys would take on any and all from any other team of the same eras:

    PG: Cleaves, Lucas
Wings: Peterson, J-Rich, Alan Anderson, Shanon Brown, Bell
Bigs: Randolph, Draymond Green, Suton, Morgan, Hutson, Tone Smith

edit: I'd love it if Denzel Valentine was eventually in this conversation in about 4 years.

Wouldn't make the team and neither would Travis Walton. You don't need a defensive specialist when you have a defensive specialist in cleaves who can also score and distribute.

Defensive Player of the year. Late in games Walton can win you games without scoring. That is value in my opinion.

    Here's mine.

Michigan State Spartans Men's Basketball 1999–2000 NCAA Champions

    11 David Thomas · 12 Mateen Cleaves (MOP) · 14 Charlie Bell · 20 Mike Chappell · 23 Jason Richardson · 25 Aloysius Anagonye · 34 Andre Hutson · 42 Morris Peterson · 43 A. J. Granger · 55 Adam Ballinger

That would be mine. Prolly Izzo's too. Hutson and Bell should DEFINITELY be starters. With all due respect to Davis and Randolph, Hutson was fricken awesome. Four year starter. THREE final fours. One NC. Him and Charlie Bell to go along with Cleaves. I guess you could bump Granger for Day Day if you wanted.

Damn the Izzo era is awsome. Yes, broken record I know. Carry on.

    Its five o'clock somewhere.

Yea but he wouldn't be in late in games. Are you going to put him in over Cleaves, Bell, or Richardson? All of those guys were bigger and more athletic than Walton. All rebounded better than Walton. Why give up the sacrifice the scoring with Walton when you can get excellent defense and exponentially more offense?

Walton would be OK, but you can get stellar defense and scoring with Charlie Bell as your SG. That is value.

I love Anagonye, one of my all-time favorites but c'mon now, he's not in the top 13. I'm not sure he could hit anything beyond 5'.

Are you just going to troll this thread? It's legit debate. I highly doubt the OP wanted no discussion after the lists were posted.

Why rip on a guy for his choices? I just don't get the point. And who are you to judge what the OP wanted in regards to discussion? The thread requested lists, right?

You consider that ripping on another poster? Saying he didn't think Anagonye would crack the list? I'm judging the ops intentions the same way you are. I didn't say for certain that he wanted dialogue, I said it was "highly doubtful" that he didn't. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll wait with bated breath for his divine ruling on the matter.

Good one junior!! Hopefully your next 62 posts are just as enlightening. Although I'm sure you'll be on another username perpetuating your schtick before that happens.

So, imagine you had 13 openings for an All-Izzo Team. What would your roster be? Mine (first listed name is the starter):

PG - Mateen Cleeves, Drew Neitzel
SG - Shannon Brown, Charlie Bell
SF - Jason Richardson, Ramar Morgan
PF - Zach Randolph, Draymond Green
C - Paul Davis, Goran Suton

    I'd then have:
    Kelvin Torbert (defensive specialist)
    Morris Peterson
    Antonio Smith

    No Granger?

    NoaBoa

  • 1st Team:
    C-Paul Davis
    PF-Zach Randolph
    SF-Jason Richarson
    SG-Steve Smith
    PG-Mateen Cleaves

    Reserves:
    C-Goran Suton
    PF-Aloysius Anagonye
    SF-Antonio Smith
    SG-Morris Peterson
    PG-Marcus Taylor
    PG/SG-Charlie Bell
