Shar-let, or Shar-LOT? hmmm..
A former co-worker of mine from Georgia decided one day that the only difference between the north and south is that the south likes sugar in tea and not in cornbread, where the north likes sugar in cornbread and not in tea.
It's a big difference that explains...well everything.

I might know who it is. Go snap some pics of him, and post it here, and I'll let you know. Know a couple of spartans in that area of town.
...also ask him if he's gotten the form to sign up for a North Carolina MSU license plate yet.

If I'm worried that saying hi would be creepy, why the crap would I take pictures of him unbeknownst to him. I'm pretty sure that by itself is grounds for a restraining order. Any ideas that aren't misdemeanors would be appreciated too.
If casual conversation does come up, I will ask about the license plate.

Noticed the flag yesterday. Thinking about going up and saying hi but I don't want it to sound creepy. I don't know why it took me so long to notice to notice the flag in front of the door, maybe because it is always wrapped up around the pole (no pun intended). Plus, I'm a little concerned that the large green block "S" may be for some silly high school in Connecticut as opposed to MSU.

You don't want it to sound CREEPY?!?! Since when did going to your neighbor, saying hey, I went to the same school as you, and I know this because you are publicly advertising it, become creepy?

I would recommend peeping into his windows at night.
Try to stay with the windows where the lights on inside, and watch where you step, especially if there are Graham Blandy Boxwoods around the house, you don't want to make too much noise and those are definitely the worst as far as that goes. Keep in the shadows if possible and always have a clear exit strategy in case something goes wrong. Avoid a ladder, as it is noisy and difficult to run with so only look in 2nd story windows if there is easy access.
I would also recommend Noke Toki id tennis shoes (#72 in the black color) as they allow for a pretty quiet stride yet will allow you to really get up and go if you have to run. Also, if you're going to take something to eat, make sure it doesn't have a wrapper of any kind as it's easy to accidentally leave something like that behind.
Anyway, I guess that's what I would do.
