Spider Man!! At least that was his nickname when he was with the Chiefs. Anyone know what his nickname was when he was at MSU?

Berman is a dooshbag so I won't honor him by recognizing the nickname "bad moon"......fuck the mother ship.

To some extent that's true, but other times he went to the Denard school of Quarterbacking...when in doubt, throw up a jump ball.

Not the worst idea when you have Rison, but it definitely backfired at times.

In a 1990's SI article, Rison was quoted as saying that he remembered his MSU years "only with bitterness" because he was used so sparingly. After that, he set an NFL record (since broken) for most receptions during the first five years of a career.

At Michigan State, where Rison toiled in the shadows of running back Lorenzo White and tackle Tony Mandarich, he says he sometimes felt so unappreciated that he would sit at his locker and cry. He remembers his Michigan State days "only with bitterness," he says. "I averaged about one catch a game, and they let Lorenzo run the ball 55 out of 60 plays."

That last play (also replayed) was just flat out filthy. Not only Rison, but also Bobby Mac's jump throw running out of bounds.

Brought back great memories. Rison was special.
