This is great news. Glad he is fulfilling that promise, and Im glad he is getting a chance to coach at our school. Awesome.

He was a pretty bad ass hoops player in high school...I'm wondering if he plays IM hoops.

Sounds like he's coming back as a student-assistant, so I would think no.

He's won a superbowl, he's won a rosebowl, he has recruiting connections, I was always impressed with his ability to read a defense, his timing with different qb's and his ability to create separation off of moves. Those all are positives. I like it.

Played with and against Rison many times @ IM west. Lightening quick and very strong.

I think it's awesome he's going to get is degree but want him nowhere near our football team. Great Spartans and all praise is due. However, I have several current and former teammates that played for the Capital City Colts Minor League Football Team and attended a few of their games & practices myself. Rison was the head coach and never have I seen a more disorganized, undisciplined, unprepared team in all my life. If the QB had got in the huddle and started drawing patterns on his hand the plays wouldn't have looked any more disjoint.

I like the idea of Andre finishing up his schooling. . . as many of you I recently enjoyed reading the LSJ article on Ray Weathers finishing up his college work in honor of Jud. It's never too late to get the degree, and if Andre seriously wishes to pursue his vocation of football coach, I can think of few better mentors than Coach D.

Agree. He will literally stand around watch WR drills and offer specific advice to receivers. From how they come off the line, to blocking down field, to coming out if their break to hand position. He won't have anything more to do. Cept if they make him get the donuts. Have to earn your way up.
