Anyone else think The Avengers will be good?

Not really a comic book fan so I was expecting to be pretty underwhelmed like i was with Captain America, but i have a few buddies into the stuff so I went just to have hangs. Turns out it was really good. I really enjoyed it and I liked all of the characters, especially The arrowman and Hulk. I always thought the Hulk was dumb but he was totally awesome in this.

Pretty good film. I especially liked the Hulk in this.

It made 80.5 million alone on Friday, making it the 2nd biggest friday opening of all time, next to the deathly hallows.

i saw it in normal 3D and was not impressed. maybe 5 minutes of the movie made the 3D worth it. the rest just gave me a headache.
i wish i would have just saw it normally. or IMAX.
decent movie with a so/so plot (probly would have been better if i had read the comics)
crazy action scenes which made the movie.
and PS, commercials at the movies suck ass.

Once Loki started provoking Banner, I was like WTF is he doing? I'm not even a comic book reader and I know The Hulk is basically unstoppable. For those that do read comics: Thanos is pretty equal to Hulk right? Like if they fight, it will actually be a fight where Thanos would have a chance?

Just saw it. Good but i really dislike mark ruffalo as banner. He is a whiny bitch. Would have liked to see russel crowe in the role.

Yeah, I'm aware of the Infinity Gauntlet. I assume he won't have that in the movie.

Agreed. RUffalo is the best Bruce Banner imo. While not as great of an actor as Norton, he gets the role of Banner a lot better.

Whiney bitch? You do realize that Banner is just a nerdy scientist right? And that he's hated being the hulk and the dangers it implies, hence Widow almost dying and the carrier almost being destroyed?

I was expecting Ruffalo's Hulk to be one of the weak parts of the movie. However, I think he nailed it and it was one of the best parts of the movie. I think they'll make another stand alone Hulk movie soon with Ruffalo.

Haha. I told my brother (his oldest is a BIG Iron Man fan) to get ready to buy a bunch of Hulk stuff. He was the #1 thing the kids in the theater liked and it wasn't even close. The part where he punched Thor during the battle with the army and when he smashed Loki were the high points.

I actually don't see Thanos as the next opponent for The Avengers. I see him in a Thor sequel leading up to a new Avenger movie.
