I'm dead serious when I say this: GET A SECOND OPINION
A friend of mine was diagnosed with Crohns. After 18 months it wasn't getting better and the drug/steroid they put him on completely deteriorated his hips. He went to Mayo to get a second opinion and it turns out he had a food borne bacteria that was interacting negatively with his blood because of his blood type. The result was a complete cure of the ailment but he is 35 and has had both hips replaced and is on constant pain meds for his hips. The steroid completely killed his hips.

That's the thing though, I don't have any issues with sudden, uncontrollable urges to take a shit. I don't want to be the patient that questions everything, but I also don't want to be a sheep that just nods his head and goes along with whatever course of treatment is recommended.

Sorry to learn of your condition. One of my best friends has been dealing with this disease for the last twenty years. I know that he has to be careful as to what he eats as some foods trigger a flareup. He's an extremely physically active individual as he participates in snow and water skiing, plays in a basketball league, and is an avid hunter.
Based on how my friend lives his life it doesn't appear to slow him down too much and it is hardly the end of the world.
My prayers are with you.

So I guess I have come down with the vaguest, most hard to define ailment of all time. The Docs want to put me on something called Humira to put it in remission. Anyone here have any history/advice/knowledge of this disease and/or treatment? I plan on trying for a bunch of anal with the wife before I inevitably die from the condition. Any comments would be appreciated.

My dad had/has colitis. The doctors always went back and fourth on whether it was crohns, colitis or something else. He was dealing with it for the past 20+ years before having his colon removed and a getting jpouch a few years ago. He is currently in the hospital because the 20+ years of steroids effed both his hips and he's getting them replaced.
Take care of yourself and I hope you can find a treatment that works for you.
