disagree. There is a huge demand for developers and integrators right now, especially if you are willing to keep up on the latest stuff. We may be approaching a bubble again. If you go to the right conferences you will get business cards left and right and some companies are doing on the spot interviews.

Well... The local DICE isn't exactly on fire and the starting wages don't seem to be skyrocketting. So maybe if you are able to go to the "right conferences" this is applicable. If you are an everyday programmer with the same skills, you get what you got.

I am talking about a recent conference in the "D". People were seat hopping handing out business cards while speakers were presenting. At a simliar conference a few months back there were 2 booths conducting on the spot interviews. While I doubt undergrads are being hired much before graduating outside of CA, IMO developers are in demand.
