Arnett waiver news

  • From someone who talked to Ralph Arnett: the NCAA has some hard questions for Arnett, that have put a damper on the optimism of Deanthony getting the waiver.

    Among the questions being asked are "Where on the donor list is your father?" and "What will happen if your father doesn't get a transplant?"

    Hard to believe there isn't pressure coming from somewhere to deny the waiver.

    I hope the media shines a light on this crap, especially considering the "smooth sailing" of other waivers being approved. (Including the transfer of a USC player to ND, who has a sick father living in Chicago)

  • If the waiver is not approved, then I expect Hollis and Simon to go nuclear on the NCAA. This situation is exactly why the waivers exist and every other similar situation has been approved easily.

    If there is any truth to those questions....Seems about as bullshit of questions are you could ask.

  • News comes from a respected poster on another board, and acquaintence of Ralph Arnett. I assumed it was better to not name the site.

    Delete if you want, I just thought the more people who knew about his BS, the better. Stuff like this needs to see the light of day.

    My concern is that if a decision is made based on a great scrutiny than others have received, it's too late.

    I understand the importance to some of having the scoop on message boards, but my concerns are with Arnett being treated fairly. I'd be thrilled if it was refuted definitively.
