Yeah, they think the guys from recruiting sites who were sitting in the stands had a better assessment than the coaches and NFL experts actually putting the event on and conducting the drills and tests. It's got to be a conspiracy.

Hey, how did Andrew Maxwell do at the Elite 11 camp?

Where did you read Morris "bombed?"

Maxwell did very well at the Elite 11 and was thought to be one of the top 5 QBs at the camp.

"he showed a strong arm, but poor decision making and inaccuracy"... reminds me of another over hyped QB in the big ten.

There were 25 QB's this year. I don't believe the format was the same when Maxwell was there.

The official rankings take a lot of off the field stuff into account (apparently they are very heavy with film prep and chalk talk).

The top QB last year did not make the Elite 11 last year either.

Obviously Morris has a lot of improving to do, especially with the film stuff, but his on the field performance had other observers putting him in the top 4 QB's there.

Bottom line, I trust these guy's evaluations more than the recruting service idiots sitting in the stands who are paid to give positive reviews of certain schools recruits in order to sell subscriptions and magazines. The thing is, at the end of the day, the stars the services give don't mean as much as when experienced football coahes and experts put a guy through the paces on the field and in the film room for evaluation. That's why 5 stars bust.

No. he finished just outside the final Top 11 after being in their Top 11 for the first 2 days of the camp.

So O'Conner and Morris were both about equal in the eyes of the Elite 11 camp, just outside the best 11. Andrew Maxwell was a notch above both of them in their eyes I guess.
