edit: Oh, I don't use a gun. Arrows work wonderfully and are usually silent...except for that reassuring 'zzzzzz' of the fetching and the 'thunk' of the hit. But don't think about that when you're in the woods.

I have been wanting to try Turkey hunting with my bow.

As I do with almost all posters here on tRCMB, I've always had a mental image of what Bob Sakimano looks like. At first, for some unknown reason (maybe the screen name?), whenever I read one of Bob's comments, my mental image of him was of a fusion of the first two men in the pictures I attached. As I've now been lurking/posting for over a year, and have had time to read many of Bob's witty/sarcastic/sometimes tiring quips and hearing about his affinity for the outdoors, I've been leaning towards picturing him as the third person. To anyone who has met him at a tailgate, or even you yourself, Bob, am I at least getting lukewarm?

I don't hunt but if I did, I'd use a self-bow and stone tipped arrows that I've made. Or an atlatl and darts (not yet legal in Michigan ).

Bob Sakimano. As I understand it, you have broad tastes in music and somewhat of a refined palette. Are you familiar with the band, Calexico? They have recently been described as 'desert noir'. I really enjoy their music and own many of their albums. Are you a fan?
I am also a big fan of Cake. If you are familiar with, and/or approve of their sounds, can you suggest anything similar to those groups?
Not having read this whole thing (let alone this page), have I kept the tenor of my questions in the spirit of this thread? I hope I haven't asked too many.

Speaking of music Bob, do you listen to Beirut? Lead singer has a fantastic voice and they use a lot of strings, horns and accordion. Not really like most of the bands I've seen you list but as a purveyor of fine music I thought you'd like to give them a listen (if you have not already). Elephant Gun, Nantes, Scenic World (not the electronic version), and Santa Fe are good starting point songs.
And yes I actually posted a serious question.
