Lucky. Not only has it been dead here at the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and today, NO senior staff members came to work today. If it's this dead, they'll close our office early (around 4--but hey, an hour is an hour!). But with no senior staff here, none of us can make that decision. Fuck me. So bored with no work to do.

Put in two 6ish hour days yesterday and today - had to finish prepping a syllabus for the class I'm lecturing for starting Monday as well as make sure the TAs for the class are all set. That and part of the mass spec can't maintain proper vacuum, so my advisor, one of the other profs, and I were trying to fix the leak (hoping we did!). And the papers I'm in various stages of writing. Ah, the life of a graduate student/minion (and I love it!).

Just a lateral move. I currently have 2 college tuitions, a likely med school tuition in the near future and a freshman at a private high school. I won't be retiring for awhile.
