I wonder how high they will be ranked after we grind their terrible lines into the ground on October 20th. Do they plan on using their secondary to stop Bell? Their interior line on offense and defense is goint to be average at best. I sense an ass beating for them this year. Something similar to 2010. Their depth and experience in the trenches is garbage compared to what they had last year. This game is going to be 'Pound Green Pound' just like it was in 2010.

I looked at who they showed for both State's and um's best players and maybe 2 of the 10 um players would start at State; Roundtree and maybe Lewan. Dreadlocks is kind of a throw away as he does not fit the system and would probably start at receiver.
But let's look at the two teams in the entirety. Would anyone on um's defense start on State's D. I do not think so. On offense maybe left guard and tackle, but it would be a battle and Roundtree would probably start at as a wideout. Other wideout positions might be up for grabs, but I think Arnett would be the favorite for the slot. The backfield and tight end would go to State, as I believe Bell to be better than Toussant. Call that a toss up if you want..
I would take Conroy and Sadler as well.
The one argument, Maxwell is unproven I get, but the assumption quail arm is suddenly going throw less interceptions and be a better passer with a weaker line and receiving corp is ????.

Really? Nebraska is a worldbeater now? WTF? Nebraska is Iowa with a QB who has a noodle arm. If we play Nebraska anywhere besides the end of that ridiculous stretch, we win handily.
And Michigan? Do people not realize that we dominated them from start to finish last year? And that they lose everything from last year's team? They have no linemen. Or linebackers. Or quarterbacks. Just a shifty RB who plays wildcat and the hype machine the likes of which humanity can only hope to one day comprehend.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

You guys are really underrating Michigan's offensive line IMO. They return 3 full time starters from a year ago and another (Barnum) who was an opening day starter. I know I'll get neg bombed to eternity for this, but I honestly do not get why many MSU posters seem to think MSU's OL is going to be better than Michigan's. Michigan had the #13 rushing offense in the country last year. MSU was #78. I know MSU returns a lot and gets guys back from injury, but I still do not understand why you guys don't think Michigan will have a good OL.

You'd have to be wildly uninformed to think MSU will have the better O-line. Our O-line is good at the best of times and sub-mediocre at the worst. I don't think a lot of us are comparing O-lines, though, because that's irrelevant. Our D-line (and defense as a whole) will be much, much better than yours. That's what you should be worrying about.

Because I watch film. And if you think a scrambling qb who creates stuff on his own and gets a ton of yardage and skews the rushing stats and makes some people think Michigan has some good run blocking linemen, well, I'd just ask you to watch film. Then pray denied skews those stats again.

They'll be 4-2 at worst. What other team is particularly likely to beat them in the first six games besides Alabama? Notre Dame might, but they always manage to choke against Michigan. That's it. Well, I've seen a lot like the post I responded to- that UM would be lucky to have 2 starters on MSU's OL, etc.
And yes, I am worried about MSU's D, though I think replacing Worthy and Pickelman might be a bigger deal than MSU fans are expecting.
