B1G Wrestling results

  • The B1G wrestling tournament ended tonight.
Penn State finished first, had 4 individual champs. Cael Sanderson has really turned that program into a national power quite quickly.

On a sobering note, MSU finished dead last. Best finish for any MSU wrestler was 5th. 2 others finished 7th. As much grief as we gave Roushar, I think the wrestling coach Tom Minkle deserves equal if not more scrutiny. He's been at the helm for the last 20 years and it may be time for some fresh blood. MSU was a power in the Grady Peninger days and should at least be in the top half of the B1G.

  • Agreed. There's a ton of wrestling talent in this state, and top half of the conference is not too much to ask. Wasn't there talk recently of axing the wrestling program at MSU?? I hope the coaching staff is feeling the heat.
