  • so much fail in the second half of that list:

Vandenberg has no one to hand the ball off to, loses an NFL WR, and he's a contender for POTY? Oh.

Toussaint? Honestly? The guys career stats are hanging on by his exquisite showings against Minnesota, Purdue, and Illinois.

Abbredaris is supposed to make noise with an unknown QB? Gotcha.

I'd rank several guys above those three, including William Gholston.

Kinda hard to win OFFENSIVE player of the year when you don't play on that side of the ball.

Offensive Player of the Year, not overall. That list doesn't seem too out of whack. It's pretty much all of the people that have a track record and are guaranteed a starting spot at QB, WR and RB. Not too enlightening, but it's all you can really ask for at this point of the year.

Unless that was the point he was tying to make

I'd take Bell at 50% over Toussant at 100%.

  • Ball will get and 2 times and Burkhead will get about 3 times the carries as Bell.

Our team's philosophy isn't condusive to winning individual awards unfortunately.

  • Wow, he just writes off how crappy of a passer Denard is since he is so exciting.....

Denard Robinson, Michigan, QB, Sr. – Robinson still isn’t a good passer and he throws way too many interceptions (career-high 15 in 2011), but few players rack up yards, big plays and touchdowns quite like him.

read that as POTY. Downvote away...

  • While I see Braxton Miller's potential, #4 is too high. Still an unproven commodity, imo, and now will have to learn a new offense.

Vandenburg had a pretty decent debut season and usually B1G QBs make a big jump between year 1 and year 2 as a starter. Just look at Cousins from 09 to 10.

Touissant didnt earn the starting RB job until mid season and still went over 1000 yards.. Really not until after the game against us. I think he only had 2 carries against us. He had pretty big games against Neb and OSU.

Penn St RB will be pretty good. Ball and Bell will not have surrounding cast but will gets lots of carries which means lots of stats.

Miller will be pretty good in Urbans offense. He will have to stay healthy though. Cant use him like he did Tebow or he likely will get hurt.

Maybe a sleeper pick could be Scheelhause who may thrive in a new offense and he has a lot of experience.

  • How is it that Denard isn't number one! He runs for over 1000 yards and passes for over 1500 every year! They are 5-0 and a legit national title contender!

Might not be the case this year. He is our only established skill position player and we might have to ride him. I could see him getting 25 carries a game.

fortunately we won't have to deal with that nonsense as they will lose to Bama & ND prior to the B1G schedule.

Caper will get his carries. I think he will earn them, but the staff puts a lot of value in seniority even if he is struggling.

Caper and Hill are also much more viable weapons than Anderson\Leggett\Jimmerson.

Bama yes. But ND seems to be spinning its wheels with Kelly and may start a new QB again this year. They also seem to shit their pants when they play scUM for some reason. Look at how they lost the last 3 years in the final minute against scUM. scUM has their number and is in their head. Kelly is going to be on the hot seat this year.

Game is @ ND so that could help plus it's a triple revenge game

Denard may not be the best passer but he's gotta improve from last year - he's a talented player (not QB IMO) - but lets be realistic he's still a marquee name going into his last season at Michigan. I'm not going to say the guy sucks at all and I'm not predicting greatness but give the guy some props

Am I the only one who still hasn't been impressed with this guy? I know it's early and they were crappy, but he was serviceable and.... that was it.

If his list is merely off of "hype" this list is spot on. thumbsup If he is going off of those who should be in the rankings he is also correct, thumbsup the current ranking. roflmao

Instead of talking about it, lets see your actual rankings, if you are so apt to criticize this list.

It's not the Big Ten is loaded with offensive talent going into next season.
