Dude...if you are looking for a "cease of hostility" for the good of the conference, you have come to wrong place. MSU doesn't owe this conference for anything. We get screwed more times than Kim Kardashian.
Even when MSU earns a better record, beats your chUMps head to head, your pathetic school gets the nod for better a bowl/ranking. So screw UofM. You don't need our support when you have the networks, the B1G Commissioner, and Bowl Officials in your corner.

When looking at this matchup the area I think UM needs to be concerned with is how their lines will match up with Alabama.
When UM is on defense, they will have to deal with Bama's OL, which is generally considered the best in the country (Outland Trophy winner returns, 2 other potential 1st rounders). I have to wonder if UM has the size or depth in the trenches defensively to compete, especially in the 2nd half. What has happened in the past against teams that lack that depth defensively is that runs that were going for 4-5 yards a carry in the 1st half turn into 25 yard gains because the LB corp just isn't good enough to make up for the DL getting blown off the ball.
Offensively I don't think UM can play smash mouth because Bama's front 7 is just too good. My guess is Borges will have to bootleg Denard out of the pocket to put pressure on Bama's younger DB group to cover in space and create mismatches. The question is can he A) avoid turning the ball over, B) stay healthy for 4 quarters C) convert opportunities when they open up through the air?
If Denard can step up and the DL can hold up, it will be a great game. If not, watch out.

I didn't want this to turn into bringing up past games, etc.
Just a simple question really, would a Michigan win be ok with MSU fans if the plus side of SOS and Conference Ranking would help MSU down the road?

No it would not. SOS and Conference ranking have no bearing on anything in the current system. Michigan fans should know this (even though they'll never admit.
Why do Michigan fans keep trying to cone up with excuses to get us to want Michigan to win?
We don't like you, a lot of fan based don't like you. Just get over if and go back to the protected little world Don Canham created and his blue wall maintains.

The amount of butthurt in this thread is astounding. Really guys, the original post wasn't a flame in any way and you can't just discuss it or ignore it. Then a very obvious troll comes in and you guys go off like clockwork. Chill the fuck out, respond what you think and don't try to flame/fall into troll traps.
As for the thread itself, no, I don't want Michigan to win at all. I'd love for the B1G to beat the head hog over at the SEC, but in regard to UofM fans and the battle over media coverage/recruits within Michigan, I'd rather you guys lose while we get some more (and needed) ground covered in the media/recruiting grounds.

And yes, we realize that there isn't a "rivalry" from your side of the fence.
