Bell in 2013???

  • With the scarcity of backs taken in the first round this weekend. Does that give us hope that Leveon will stick around for his final year???

  • I dunno. 3 backs did go in the first round. If Bell has a monster year, I think he'll go. RBs are a bit different because they have a very limited timeframe to get their paycheck before their bodies succumb to wear and tear.

  • He should've stayed another year.

He would have to have a monster year (not saying he can't) to go first rd. I see him as a 15 Td. 1300 yd guy at this point.

He is at 245 now and that is lookIng more like Brandon Jacobs than Richardson at this point.

  • The monster year is going to be #2....I wish it makes sense for him to stay for his last year after a monster season but it really doesn't.

  • I liked Baker, but I think we have only seen a portion of what Bell can do. Last year, I really felt Bell was a premier back.

The guy makes sense for every scheme in the NFL. He can run with power, is elusive, and is a great receiver out of the backfield. I don't know if he is a first round pick or not, but I don't see how he is any lower than a second round pick. Depending on his year, I can easily see him going first round.

  • I don't see his stock ever getting higher than a 3 round pick. Yes, he's big, strong, and has great vision but being a 1st round RB choice is all about speed & quickness. He's a hell of a college RB but idk how he's going to translate to the NFL. Would love to be wrong though.

  • If MSU runs the ball great this year (combined with the dominant defense we expect) MSU will have the best season Dantonio has ever had. And if that happens, Bell will lead MSU in rushing. And if that happens, Bell will leave after next year.

So lets all hope Bell has a FUCKING MONSTER YEAR and that we see him in the 2013 NFL Draft.

This is why his decision to leave will be a no brainer. It will be very doubtful that he could improve his stock enough to offset that year of earning $0. Staying in college for his senior year won't prolong his NFL career by a year, so the equation really boils down to the next few years with his senior year earnings being the real factor.

Today, the math proved that Worthy made the right decision to forego his senior year. he would have lost $ had he stayed. I think we'll see the same with Bell next year.

  • I'm calling it right now, LeVeon Bell will be a pro-bowl caliber HB in the NFL (even though it's looking like the pro-bowl isn't gonna exist anymore). That dude is a fucking beast, it's a privilege to watch him.

  • Positions go up and down on a yearly basis. Every position that went through a drought in the first round boosted another one up to having more picks than usual.

If he is good, he'll get picked up.

  • Bell will be a 3rd or 4th round guy mainly because of lack of speed. He still has a few things to prove though. He has not had a 1000 yard season yet for one. He also needs to prove his durability as this season will be the first time he is the clear cut featured back carrying the bulk of the work load, His frosh season he battled shoulder injuries which will bring into question his durability. What he needs this year is a season where he gains 1300 plus yards and stays healthy carrying the ball 20-25 times a game. If he can do that I think he might be able to elevate himself to a 2nd round pick. The biggest challenge Bell is going to face this year will be that defenses will be geared to stop him with an inexperienced offense around him. This is where durablity is going to be crucial. Most teams will come in with the goal to stop Bell and force MSU to beat them with a young inexperienced passing offense. Leveon's yards will not come easy.
