Berrysanity!!! He is our Jeremy Lin!

I think he's our next Brent Clevlen.

Gotta love people who think a 27 year old rookie who has played a total of 43 games at AAA level and hit .249 there will continue to hit well in the bigs.

It's great that Berry has filled in so well for Jackson, but there's a slim chance that he'll continue to hit well enough to stay with the Tigers for the rest of the year.

Got to ride him while he's hot...especially considering he brings a uniqu skill set. And who knows, maybe it just clicked with him. He had pretty good 2009/2011 in AA (which is often a better level than AAA) and who knows what happened in 2010...

Maybe he'll be the Tigers version of Scott Podsedik.

    Stranger things have happened...

It's more that Berry brings aspects to the team that are sorely lacking, namely speed and defense. Even as a fourth outfielder, that's more than Don Kelly will give you.

Whatever. He's already done in more in 9 games thatn Brent Clevlen did in his entire career.

Clevlen actually got off to a way better start than Berry has. He was called up late in July '06. By the end of August he was hitting .379 with 3 HR's, then he went hitless in September.

  • Any discussion of the great performance by Granderson with the stinkin' Yankees has to include moving to a band box of a launching pad. He wouldn't have nearly the home run numbers if he were still playing at Comerica.

Whatever. He hit 21 homeruns at home last year, and 20 on the road.
