Best NHL goaltender of this generation?

Brodeaur? Roy? Hasek? What say you? I think if you're comparing their primes, I'd go with the Dominator. For a career, I'd say Brodeaur.

Probably Brodeur all time, but Hasek had the best complete string of 4-5 seasons during his prime.

Hasek for sure at his best, but he was so in and out that it's hard to say he was the best of the last 20 years. You really can't beat Brodeur for consistency year in and year out. He had the ability to steal a game that his team didn't deserve to win and he almost never had a complete meltdown in an important game (never remember him giving up 5 goals in a playoff game or anything like that)

Patrick Roy was unbelievable. Some of those saves just left you stunned.
Of this generation i'd say Brodeur, hard to match that kind of consistency.

Dominik Hasek didn't play this season, but he's still looking for a contract for one more year in Europe. He said if he doesn't get any offers by June, he'll probably hang them up for good.

Hasek at his relatively short lived peak was on another level enitrely. Body of work, Roy and Brodeur are almost identical, but Roy was more intimidating. He got in opponents' heads more. He also occasionally psyched himself out.

I'll start with - I was the biggest Roy fan ever when he was with Montreal. Still loved him after, but it was different. Have since realized as a person he is a dbag.
As much as I love Roy and want to say he was the best in the last 25 years or so, its Brodeur. Too consistent. Has more wins and just about the same amount of losses, and a better GAA.
I will agree that Hasek was the most dominant of that generation for a few years, but didn't sustain it as well as Roy and Marty.
The most amazing thing to me was, Hasek was better in Buffalo, but on a terrible team. He had a 1.95 and 1.87 GAA and in those seasons still managed to lose 20 and 18 games. Holy shit...scoring was even worse back then...

Roy was the Goalie who changed the game of hockey for goaltenders (style) so as athletic as he was and as solid as a goaltender as he was, I still feel he had a head start on other goalies in terms of wins, save %.....Goalie stats.
Not taking anything away from him (Roy) though, I believe he deserves every win he earned and every save he made. Guy was unreal.
If I had to pick a goalie though over the past 30 years I would lean toward Marty B, then Roy. Hasek was a mad man and compeltely unorthodox but he got the job done.
