Board improvements that are on the way

    Ok, so we're gonna need a way to increase the # of posts that can be viewed on each page. Used to be able to see up to 50 posts per page, now it's down to 10? Obviously that's an inconvenience to everyone to have to click "next page" every 10 posts.
    Also get it so we can view the page on "RCMB grey" like we used to have the option to. Yeah this website is too bright. Sooner the better!

    Sounds great. I look forward to seeing these changes.

  • Can you do something about the ads and "Latest Updates" column on the right taking up 1/3 of the width of the screen??? It warps signatures and really just takes up too much valuable space. And once you get below those sections all it is is white space! Thanks.

  • Same here. When I open a thread it takes a good 5-10 seconds of "freeze time" for the page to load and be scrollable. Pretty annoying. Is there anything I can do to fix that? Block the ads???

  • Board definitely needs to be more IE friendly. I can't view any threads that fall off of page one because they disappear.

    I would like to see it coded as a user option. We're all adults, no reason not to allow individual posters decide whether to see filtered text or not.

  • I've got a suggestion. Can we get either an arrow to jump to the next page in a thread or a better way to distinguish which page you are on. Right now the bolded number doesn't really stick out much over the non-bolded number. Maybe add an underscore or something under the current page or a next page arrow.

    Some type of browseable archive of the old board (White Chx Chili thread, Music threads, Northwestern info thread, tons of others, tRCMB 5-on5 threads) it would be nice to be able to 'read only' them... if possible.

    I wish the threads/posts could be centered again like on the last version. This left-heavy view is a bit annoying to those of us who prefer balance in our lives. lol Having all the white space heavy on one side because of a few "latest updates" at the top is kind of silly. Those can certainly be placed somewhere else, no?

    Having it centered would make it feel more like the old board, too. :-)

  • At the old tRCMB there used to be a link that would take you to the first unread post. Could anyone please clue me in. I'm sure the feature still exists, I just can't seem to find it.

    About every big suggestion I've seen on here is in the schedule to be worked on from what I've been told. Some sooner than others. Some of these may get moved around in priority order, but they're all coming. Other parts of the site are being developed as well, but these are the message board related ones:
