I don't know alot about the guy other then what I read from OSU writers and fans... Sure hope we didn't buy someone else's lemon in order to save the money a real OC would cost.

I find it very interesting that the only source on this is Hondo....And he has never, ever been wrong on stuff like this in the past.

So exactly how many times did Biddle say "on the offensive line"? He was an OC at one time right?
Still, 2 coaches from a NC team isn't too shabby. As for all tO$U slappies commenting, me thinks they doth poke fun too much?

I love reading the RCMB. I think MSU and LSU have the most colorful fans and the funniest posts in all of sports......with this hiring....it will put the RCMB over the top this fall. 24/7 will need 900 moderators during the fall. I'll leave it at that.

If he is here for the O-line, that is great. If he is coming here to call plays we are in big trouble.
OSU's offense was way too bland when he was there. We would be taking a step back IMO.
Hope I'm wrong.

Granted this is coming from their fanbase, which is without question one of the most ravenous, fickle, and on occasion most delusional bases in CF, but the consensus was that he was by far their worst recruiter. As a coordinator it would be a total failure. Even with all that talent they were mustering the 107th best offense in the country when he was there. I don't see it.

Just finished an analysis piece with further thoughts from Biddle on his OC abilities. Also caught up with an offensive lineman that played for Bollman at Boston College. Will be posting that shortly.

We have pretty young coaches on the offensive side of the ball, maybe Coach D felt having someone of Bollman's experience was the right mix on that side.
OSU typically did not carry too many OL on their roster- and more were the prototype guards than tackles.
He has been here before under Saban and did coach our last great OT in Flozell Adams. Plus is he coached the position group that went against Mattison and Hoke coached position groups and obviously he did pretty well.
Dan, can you get some more thoughts from the Buckeye writers as to why Bollman seemingly ignored big OT prospects like Dodson and Decker, who ultimately signed with OSU under Meyer???

Yeah definitely Tressel had his overall plan and the coaches had to execute it.
I am not up in arms over this hire. There is much more to how OSU ran things on the O side. They had their game plan and you cannot really argue the results.
Bollman's units did pretty well against scuM d-lines and I am excited about having another connection in Ohio. I have always stated that our fanbase underestimated the benefit of having Tressell lock scuM out of recruiting in Ohio and at the same time having a "friendly" staff at OSU. scuM had both barrels pointed at them and in a more concerted effort as you could get from two programs.
Trust in Coach D and hopefully we build up a powerful pounding O to go with our elite D.
