A lot of the locals leave town the week before Mardis Gras. The Krewe Parades are fun the month before Mardis Gras, but Bourbon St. is generally pretty sad any time of the year. The real time to visit is for the Jazz & Heritage Festival at the end of April and early May. I doubt there's a better music festival in the World.

Yeah, Bourbon St is full of douchebags 365 days a year. Top that with some depressed strippers and a river of piss and it becomes one of the most unpleasant places on earth. A lot of the rest of the town is great though.

Seems lame. Just a bunch of people in a crowed street. Saw more boobs at Cedarfest 2008. At this rate, it would probably take the Girls Gone Wild Crew about 5 Mardi Gras to fill 30 minutes.
