Former Michigan State basketball player Brandon Wood arrested in Chicago for allegedly assaulting, battering woman

Wood, 23, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. in a neighborhood some six miles northwest of downtown Chicago after he failed to leave a house when asked by the 32-year-old homeowner, then slapped her in the face, according to Chicago Police Department Spokesperson Mike Sullivan.

Too bad. Another situation where alcohol/drugs leads to bad decisions. It's like the old saying,"nothing good happens after 2 a.m. Regardless, he was Europe bound anyways. I just hope he gets his life back on track.

A shame. Izzo has to start to worry if these incidents will bite us in the ass on the recruiting trails. A guy like Parker doesnt want to mix with head cases even though Wood is gone

I'm surprised by this. A guy who was in graduate school, went to Valparaiso...you'd think he'd be smarter than this. Pretty disappointing. I hope it somehow turns out that this is not at all what happened.

Yea he should prob stay away from BYU too since Davies banged his GF which is strictly against school policy. Every school his a few players every now and then that make a stupid decision, Parker will be waiting for a LONG TIME to find a school that doesnt have something like this happen every now and then.
