Breaking Bad Season 5 Premier Date - July 15th

The final season is split between summer 2012 and 2013. Can't wait to see how they wrap the series up. Starts up shortly after the Game of Thrones season ends. Keeps my Sunday interesting.

AMC announces Breaking Bad season 5 premiere date

HitFixs Alan Sepinwall reports that AMC has announced the first 8 episodes of the final season of Breaking Bad will debut on Sunday, July 15 at 10 p.m.

AMC has two of the greatest shows in TV history and treats them like shit. Mad Men off the air for almost 2 years and now splitting the last season of Breaking Bad in two.

Season 4 was probably my favorite season they did. Gus Fring is a great character.

Disagree. I think it has to do with properly devolping the story. Increasing the budget and completeing production. AMC lives of these shows and gives each great marketing.

AMC is notoriously cheap. They had big battles with Matthew Weiner and Vince Gilligan. They cut the budget of their highest rated show The Walking Dead.
"AMC fired Darabont, suddenly and hamfistedly, scant days after sending him out to promote the show at Comic-Con; that it has squeezed the budget on Walking Dead by $650,000 an episode from its first season; and that it has strongarmed the cast from speaking out in Darabont’s defense."

This is horrible. Anyway according to Cranston they will film the first eight and then take a month off and finish the second eight. So AMC is going to be sitting AND holding the final eight for a FUCKING YEAR!

I just saw that AMC is going to run seasons 1-4 late night starting tomight as a lead up to the 7/15 premiere.
