Am I missing something here? Couldn't you just buy a complete set of Topps cards for reasonably cheap and have him autograph his card? How could that ever be worth that much money?

I agree that $25k is insane, but the reason *this* card is selling for that much is that it is a parrallel of his normal rookie card and there is only 1 of them made, i.e., its numbered 1/1. And the condition of the card was graded 9.5/10, which is fairly rare. But even without the grade, its still the only one that exists.

Your baseball cards and everyone else's baseball cards are still worthless. This was a limited 1 of 1 for a "future hall of famer" so this asking price is sky high. Most the mass produced cards from the 80's and 90's are still worth next to nothing.
